Our client's hospital has access to modern equipment and technology, alongside 36 single accommodation rooms, all with the privacy of en-suite for patients, enabling their consultants to undertake a wide range of procedures from routine investigations to more complex surgery. Some of the main private treatments offered at the hospital in Droitwich Spa include Hip surgery, Knee surgery, Cataract surgery, Glaucoma surgery and General surgery. Many of their Lead Theatre Practitioners go on to become a Deputy Theatre Manager or Clinical Services Manager, via the Institute of Leadership and Management Level 3 Course. It is their aim to help you maximise your potential. We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic yet professional Lead Theatre Practitioner - Anaesthetics to work in a close-knit and diverse team, in their Theatre Department. This is a Full-time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern. Applicants should meet the following criteria: Registered Practitioner with NMC or HCPC registration. Minimum 2 year experience in coordination, ordering, first assistant, mentor, over view of leading others. Surgical First Assistant certificate Minimum 2 years experience working in anaesthetics. ILS. Mentorship qualification Maths, English GCSE at grades A to C or equivalent functional skills level 2 evidence. Proficient in the use of a PC, including the use of software and systems. Experience of customer care, including interacting with customers in challenging situations. The department requires skilled and experienced practitionerDuties of this role include: To deliver safe quality care for patients during their perioperative phase of care. To support and assist in the management and organisation of care provision within the Operating Department. To lead and manage a team, coordinating staff training needs and resource requirements within a peri-operative function or surgical specialty. Assist in the delivery of patient care. Contribute to quality improvement. Develop and enhance the skills and knowledge of others and self. Apply and promote best evidence based practice within own scope of practice. Apply legislation, policies and procedures correctly. Maintain knowledge of Health and Safety at Work Act. Ensuring appropriate measures are taken in respect of Health and Safety for patients, relatives, visitors, hospital staff and contractors. Achieve agreed objectives and demonstrating correct behaviours at all time.
