We are seeking a Med Surg Nurse for our (MCU) Medical Cardiac Unit to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. The Registered Nurse performs the active nursing process consisting of the functions of assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care for patients.
MCU: Medical Cardiac Unit
- 36 Bed Unit located at the 4th floor of the new tower
- A new unit specializing in cardiac population such as,
- Pre and Post Heart Catheterization/PCI, Post Permanent Pacemaker Placements, Pre- CABG patients, Pre-TAVR (Transcatheter aortic valve replacement) , CHF Patients, Chest Pains, Vascular Patients. Patients who had Cardio Thoracic Surgeries/Procedures. Downgrades from our Cardiovascular ICU and Cardiac Comprehensive Unit.

Current acute clinical care experience preferred
Basic computer and hospital informatics skills required.
Specialty Certification where required; example: Chemotherapy; ACLS; PALS; CPR required
Complies with hospital employee health, infection control and safety management programs
Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing
Current Nevada license to practice Nursing
Independently maintains license
Acquires required contact hours to maintain practice
